IVP and non-IVP Clearance Card Applications

Fingerprint Clearance Cards are used by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) to help protect the interests of state residents.

A system allowing a state agency to efficiently screen and process many different types of licenses and certifications can understandably seem a bit complex.

Do you need an IVP or non-IVP Clearance Card? Are you a Level 1 or should you use a standard fingerprint card? What’s the difference?

Our AZ Clearance Card service can handle the entire process for you in one easy appointment.

IVP Clearance Card Service

Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Cards are used for professions that influence vulnerable populations, have access to sensitive information, or are in a position to impact the safety and security of Arizona residents.

While the same background check is done for both, an IVP clearance requires a higher level of oversight to positively guarantee the true identity of the applicant.

In compliance with state law, IVP applicants need to follow these 3 steps before we can help complete the IVP Clearance Card process:

  1. Go to the DPS Public Portal and log in/create an account
  2. Follow the prompts to complete and pay for the IVP application online.
  3. After paying the application fee you will have to log back in.  Go to the messages section and follow the directions to request an IVP Clearance Card Package be mailed to you.

We will take it from there!

For one low fee, our experienced Fingerprint Technician will not only capture your fingerprint scans, we will package all required documentation and forward your completed application to the DPS for processing.

Non-IVP Clearance Card Service

Non-IVP Clearance Cards are used to validate a broad range of roles and occupations. While both IVP and non-IVP Clearance Card applicants receive the same FBI Background Check, the less stringent procedure for submitting a non-IVP application allows us to provide a choice of service options.

Option 1: Let us do all the work. In your presence,  our experienced Fingerprint Technician will:

  • Set up/log in to your DPS Public Safety profile
  • Begin the application process
  • Pay the application fee
  • Print the required documents
  • Scan and print your fingerprints
  • Package up your completed documents and mail them to the state

Option 2: Let us complete the process. Prefer to start the process yourself? Give the required documentation to our Fingerprint Technician, who will:

  • Scan and print your fingerprints
  • Package up your completed documents and mail them to the state.

Option 3: Let us supply the fingerprint cards. It would be our pleasure to provide our fast and efficient basic Fingerprint Card Service.
